Marlon Crawford

Sr. Manager - Employee Relations, Enterprise Recognition, United Airlines

Marlon Crawford is the senior manager of employee relations and enterprise recognition at United Airlines. In this role, Marlon provides oversight and leadership in the design, development and management of recognition strategies and programs for United. Marlon ensures the alignment of employee recognition programs with corporate business goals, guiding principles and company culture. Most recently, Marlon launched a new system to foster company-wide, ‘on-the-spot’ colleague recognition and service milestone recognition.

Marlon has spent the majority of his 31+ year career at United executing highly successful HR strategies. Prior to his current role, Marlon was appointed to the four-person United/Continental Airlines Compensation Integration Team where he helped design new pay structures and develop transitional salary policies and procedures post-merger. Marlon has also served as a senior project manager of human resources at United where he managed all aspects of complex global HR projects, including determination of project scope, project planning, execution and timing.

Marlon holds a bachelor’s degree in business with a specialization in human resources and industrial relations from Western Illinois University. He is also a certified Senior Member in Human Resources (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Born and raised in Chicago, Marlon enjoys watching movies, playing Sunday basketball in the city and skiing in Europe in the winter in his free time.
